Between Kathmandu and Pokhara, Nepal, is the little town of Bandipur. Idyllic and serene, this destination was a quick one night stop over, and sort of an accidental find. While searching out an off the beaten path destination, I came across a temple that you can only access via cable car, the Manakamana Temple. We had one day to do something other than the major city destinations, so I found the town of Bandipur close by and booked a room. Now, we ended up getting to the town too late to then get back down to the temple, and back up, as Bandipur is a slow and timely ride up the side of a small mountain, so it would have been quite the journey to the temple. So instead, we explored the little village and discovered a lovely restaurant with a fantastic mountain view, met some really cool young people (a Brit and has Nepalese friend), and did a little bit of local shopping.
